Since its inception, over 300 artists-in-residence have collaborated with Brodsky Center master printers and papermakers at its state-of-the-art facilities. The staff’s expertise includes all print media including digital, intaglio, lithography, silkscreen, relief, papermaking, photo processes, letterpress, and books.
Brodsky Center artists-in-residence are from diverse backgrounds. Their work crosses boundaries of gender, race, politics, and class. The Brodsky Center supports women, international artists, and those working outside of the mainstream. Over 30% of artists who create work at the center are artists of color, a percentage that reflects global diversity. Artists from the United States who have worked at the center include Luis Cruz Azeceta, Magdalena Campos Pons, Mel Chin, Lesley Dill, Leon Golub, Trenton Doyle Hancock, Jaune Quick-to-See Smith, Faith Ringgold, Kiki Smith, Nancy Spero, Richard Tuttle, and Fred Wilson. International artists include Sonia Boyce, Mona Hatoum, Isaac Julien, William Kentridge, Hew Locke, Chris Ofili, and Sue Williamson.
